GFM Institute is offered the first Friday of every month on a variety of topics to equip Christians to reach Muslims with the love and message of Christ.

Join us on Friday, August 3rd, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. to hear from Dr. Grant Lovejoy on this month's topic, "Helping Muslims Encounter the Truth through Storytelling." "Our lives must find their place in a greater story . . . or they will find their place in a lesser story.” The stories of the Bible unfold God’s Grand Story and show us how to find our joyful place in it. Discover the power of Bible storytelling, and learn how to use it as an effective tool in your outreach to Muslims! Don't miss this special guest speaker!

Featured Presenter: Dr. Grant Lovejoy

Dr. Grant Lovejoy has been Director of Orality Strategies for International Mission Board since 2004, where he is a member of IMB’s global strategy leadership team. Grant leads a team that develops heart-language Scripture resources in appropriate media, especially for Bible-less languages and oral cultures. He also advocates for contextualizing church leadership training and theological education for oral cultures. Since 2009 Grant has overseen IMB’s outreach to 34 million culturally-Deaf people around the world.

Grant has been a pastor to students, church planter, pastor, and seminary professor. He has contributed to and co-edited five books, including Biblical Hermeneutics and Making Disciples of Oral Learners. With Samuel E. Chiang he has edited three books: Beyond Literate Western Models: Contextualizing Theological Education for Oral Contexts; Beyond Literate Western Practices: Continuing Conversations in Orality and Theological Education, and Beyond Literate Western Contexts: Honor and Shame and Assessment of Orality Preference.
